Vast experience in the design and engineering of pumps & hydro turbines, gear boxes, governors etc. He has expertise in selection of turbines, preparations of specifications for procurement, bid evaluation works, inspection, supervision of erection and commissioning of units etc.
T.S. Somanathan (B.E. {Mech})
He is well versed with Mechanical (piping) works like Penstocks & raising mains, gates & hoists etc., including works inspections. He started his career at Neyveli Lignite Corporation as Asst. Exec. Engineer., From 1960-69. After that he worked as a piping engineer in Engineering Construction Corpn Ltd for 2 years. From 1970-75 he worked as Project Engineer in Stewarts & Lioyds of India Ltd. From 1975 - 82 as Technical Director in Subson India Private Ltd. Bangalore. HE served as Proprietor of M/s Prgagathi Engineering Consultants, Bangalore. He is experienced in erection, fabrication and commissioning of two pump houses in Cauvery Water Supply scheme- Stage 111. Presently he is also serving as consultant to Aizwal water supply scheme, Mizoram, GEPC Whitefield, Bangalore.
Suryanarayana (M.sc. {Geology})
Retired as head of geology sector of KPCL. HE was responsible for geological investigation for hydel/thermal projects and solving geo-technical problems connected with dam foundations, tunnels and underground structures. He has good exposure to Himalayan geology also.
C.R.Venkatesha (B.E., M.E. {Structures})
As a qualified engineer with post graduate degree, he is involved in the spheres of teaching, research, engineering and development of hydro power plants. He has vast experience of over thirty nine years and his activities mainly include preparation of DPR, tender documents, construction stage planning and detailed design of hydroelectric power plant schemes and related structures. Finding solutions to special problems of hydro power plant machinery, Such as vibrations in penstock, performance seals and erosion of underwater parts in hydro turbines operating with silt laden water.
Y.S. Chandrashekhar (B.E. {Mech})
He has worked for Tungabhadra steel products limited. (A Govt of India under taking). M/s. TSPL are the pioneers in the field of design, fabrication and installation of hydro mechanical equipments like penstock pipes, gates vent liners for vertical gates, radial gates of various size and capacities and hoisting arrangement like rope drum hoist, hydraulic hoist, gantry crane, EOT Cranes, building structures etc., and also design, manufacture and galvanizing of transmission line and switch yard structures for 220KV, 400KV lines.
Kallol Guha ( Retired Director, GSI )
He is proficient in construction as well as feasibility stage investigation of various micro, mini and macro Hydel projects of Himalayan region of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and other NE states of India and numerous communication projects in higher reaches along with landslide investigations in Darjeeling- Sikkim Himalaya since 1984.
Dr. B.S.Thandaveswara ( Ph.D. Civil )
Dr. B .S. Thandaveswara has a working experience in Malaprabha Irrigation Project, teaching & research experience of more than 46 years at IISc- Bangalore, Concordia University – Canada, IIT Chennai & Adhiyamaan college of Engg.- Hosur. Now he is working as a Professor in civil engineering. He is specialized in Hydraulic & water resources Engineering, Computational Hydraulics, Numerical modeling for hydraulic & water resources Engg. Problems, Unsteady flow analysis including flood flows, Flow measurement, Hydraulic modeling, Computer aided design, Environment Hydraulics.
